A startup created by engineers who sold their last company to Microsoft is already worth $ 1.7 billion
Wiz, a young company that exists for just a year, is already worth $1.7 billion. Its co-founders sold their previous company, Adallom, to Microsoft for $320 million. Their software is now used in the lineup of the security tools that Microsoft started selling. On the other hand, Wiz helps to identify security issues that occur in the public cloud infrastructure so administrators could quickly respond to them. The service works with platforms like Amazon and Google Cloud. “Wiz can scan a client’s cloud footprint in less than a day, while it would take 12 to 18 months to start running a system that relies on agents to track activity” (par. 5). In January, Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO reported that the company’s security business had reached $10 billion in annual revenue, up 40%. Currently, Wiz is considered one of the fastest-growing companies, beating Palo Alto Networks.
